ball joint press
Just wanted to make sure how the ball joints press into the knuckle.I saw procedure for pushing them out, but do they press in from the bottom up into the knuckle or do you press them down in from the top.I was not sure if the nut was put on the threads and that was used to push them down in.Sorry if this seems like a silly question.

Yes, you need the press to push them back into the knuckle. The press will come with different size "cups" that you fit onto the ball joint body to push it in from the top. You DO NOT want to press the ball joint in from the threads, only from the body of the ball joint.

You push the ball joints into the knuckle through the bottom.
When you press them out, the bottom one comes out first, then the top one. Installation is the reverse. If you listen to blackened, you'll screw up your ball joints if you even overcome the frustration of attempting it that way.
