84 Ignition Switch Removal
Hello,
does anyone know how to remove the ignition switch?? My chiltons says remove the column shround and im not sure what that is.....used to older vehicles

The shroud is the cover over the steering column, just below/behind the steering wheel. One screw in the bottom but, first you should remove the small piece of dash that covers the shroud. One screw on either side, bottom of dash with the column running through it, then the shroud will come right off. Be watchful of your shift indicator cable if you have auto trans.
