Need Help 37K and Broke
I checked the fuses and they are fine. The reverse sensing off light stays on most of the time. the rear window won't move. On the bright side the window is closed.
This is my first Ford product and I do like the truck, but this is really stuff that happens to your buddy.
I'm a do it yourself kind of guy so any repair manual recommendations would be helpful.
Thanks
TM
I am assuming that you tested the fues with a light or a meter? I have had 1 fuse look fine but be wide open.
The rear slider motor has a circuit breaker (not a fuse) mounted on it. It's possible that's tripped. Problem is gaining access...it's smack in the middle of the rear wall, so you'd have to remove the rear seat backs to get to it. The connector has 2 wires that alternate between hot or ground, depending on slider window switch position. If switch is "Open", the Red w/ Yellow stripe wire would be hot, and the Yellow w/ Lt Blue stripe wire would go to ground. If the switch is "Close", it would be the reverse.
Either reset the c/b and try it, or it might be a motor change. Power for the slider window comes from fuse F2.401 30A, located in R/H kick panel fuse box.
For the reverse sensing...the Parking Aid Module is located in the L/H kick panel above the emergency brake. I'd check the connector to make sure it didn't get knocked off somehow. Also, the disable switch in the center instrument panel might be stuck. If it is, you'll get continuity across pins 1 and 2 of the male connector on the switch assembly itself. (On the female connector, pin 1 goes to a Black ground wire, pin 2 goes to a Dark Green w/ Violet stripe wire). Power for the system is fuse F2.18 10A, located in the R/H kick panel fuse box.
Hope this helps...I can't think of anything else!!
Thanks again.
Also I am looking for the OEM manual does anyone know where I can find it?
I looked and found Chilton's has an on-line manual for the 2004 and up F150, costs $19.95/year, but can't vouch for accuracy.

I didn't see any 2004+ hardcopy Chiltons in my local Poop Boyz, but'll keep looking.
