how does the electronic speedometer work i have a 92 f150 and need a new 5 speed manal trans this truck has no cable was also thinking about puting an automatic aod in its place if any body has any sujestions i,m all ears thanks!

That is the correct. From 92-on, Ford used a VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) which also doubles as the anti-lock brake sensor.
I think you would be further ahead to get another M5OD manual tranny. Many junkyards around here and even Ebay has them.

chad i am locatted in huntington wv i have a 78 4x4 stepside with 460 and a 80 model lwb with an 88 GT motor and the project 92 model any help would be good thanks for the reply ````i,m a man i can change if i have to something like that (the mans prayer)
