OK guys here goes. I have a 2002 CC SB 4X4 with 4" lift and leveling kit. 35" tires. I have bought a brute force air intake, a 4" turbo back exhaust, the air conditioner mod (live in Phoenix), AIH delete with boost connection, Diablo Sport Predator (brand new, never used I'm probably going to sell for a DP chip) and the Exhaust Brake with TC Lock. All iv'e had time to install so far are the guages. Whew, my question, has anybody installed one of these Exhaust Brake with TC lock from Black Cloud Diesel and there thoughts and recomendations? I did but the 6637 on as soon as I bought it.
I haven't installed one of their brakes, but I did nearly the exact same thing in my truck - but wired it up with all my own parts, and I have seperate switches for the brake and the TC lock. There are pics of it in my gallery. Depending on how comfortable you are with electrical stuff, it's not that bad to do it yourself.
Thanks, you have a lot of great mods & pics in your gallery I'll be studying. I appreciate all you guys on here. I figured after these mods I mentioned I would be done with the truck, YEAH RIGHT, LIKE THAT WILL HAPPEN !!!
You're welcome. If you have any questions about it, just let me know and I'll do what I can to help. It sounds like you definately have a case of Powerstroke Modification Syndrome (PMS) and it's not getting any better. Unfortunately, there is no known cure at this time.
You can DIY, but TurboBrake offers a kit that is very user friendly. It is more like a "set it and forget" type. When you DIY, you have to turn it off when coming to a stop to avoid stalling the engine (when used in combo with the TCC lock). I am going with the TurboBrake T4 model, when I save up the extra $$$.
Thanks for all your help (sorry for the late reply gone for a day). I added some of your sigs to my list for easy access to mods in your galleries. You guys must get warm fuzzies helping out all us who don't work in the profession. Thats the only reason I can come up with for your continued taking of abuse from us.
