Hey guys!! I'm a newbie to this site and this is my first post(aside from my introduction). Anyway, I just purchased an '04 F350 4WD w/ a V10 and an auto tranny. It has just over 32,000 miles on it and I love it. BUT, I'm noticing a screech/squeal if you will coming from my power steering pump. It only does it within the fist 360 degrees of motion then it goes away. It will do it in either direction and it will do it moving or sitting still. There is no resistance in the wheel. The selling dealer, a Ford dealer, said it was just a little noisy and that they all make some noise. I've been around Ford trucks my whole life and I've never heard one this loud. Is it just noisy or do I have a problem? Any one have a similiar problem? Also, is there anyone in the northern Maryland or southern Pennsylvania area that would recommend a good dealer for warranty work? I purchased the extended warranty and I'm not afraid to use it. Thanks in advance!!
Dave
P.S. I know this is not a V10 oriented question so if I need to redirect this question somewhere else just let me know!! Thanks again!!

The SD power steering does make "some noise" ... you might try changing the steering fluid. I've heard of people doing it with ATF, and getting a reduction in the noise.
Someone else will be along with an opinion on this, I'm sure!
Stay tuned. In the meantime, you might want to ask in the SuperDuty forum.
