Need advice on changing the heater core

Ok guys,
I have a 92 F150 with the 5.8L. My heater core went **** up the other day. I found it under the glove box but don't know the best way to get it out? Do I need to completly tear the dash apart, or does it come out the bottom? Should I get a new one or try finding one at a junk yard?
Thanks for any help.
Lars

Autozone sells a Mexican made lifetime warranted one for $15. It is by no means as good as the oem, but it is $70 cheaper and you will probably only do it once.

Take out the glove box, take of the 8 (?) screws and then fineagle the old one out and the new one in. One thing to be cautious about is the wire running across the heater core cover. If you stretch that too much, your heat selector will be out of alignment.

Easy to do and usually only needs done once.
