Problem with idle mixture screws loosening?
I worked on my 390 last night, changed the timing to 12 degrees, checked the vacuum. I have about 700 miles on an overhaul. I then went to adjust the idle mixture and the screws were turned out about 4 to 5 turns, I know they weren't that far out before. They have always been adjusted to around 2 or 2 1/2. Does anyone have an ideas to keep them tight, should I stretch the spring?
