My wife's 03 expebition has the grey plastic trim all around the lower of the car. over the years it has become fadded and looks like maybe a little wax has gotten on the top portion of it. Does anyone know of a way to clean up this trim to make it look new again? thanks in advance!
There was a problem with the '03 Expedition door cladding fading. There is a TSB about it and you may be able to get the dealership to replace them. Mine has done it and I have been using a spray product called Trim Shine that I bought at Checker to mask the problem. It makes them look a lot better but not perfect. You may want to consider painting them too. Alot of guys paint them the same color as the truck.
what is a TSB and how can I go about trying to get the dealership to repalce them. Painting them sounds ideal, do you know if anyone is having trouble getting the paint to stick to the plastic? Thanks, Dustin
A TSB is a Technical Service Bulletin. It isn't exactly a warranty, but a known issue. I would take it to the dealer and see what they have to say. The dealership here told me I couldn't get them replaced because I was over the 50k mile limit that they had some "lee-way" with. There is a process for a do it your self paint that I found here: http://www.mysporttrac.com/mysporttr...ngCladding.htm
