dual exhaust

looking for opinions, getting ready to run 2 1/2 true duals on my truck tomorow with flowmaster super 40 series mufflers, i cant decide to run it out in front of each wheel or behind. I know it has the side tank so it will be a little tougher to run it out in front of the wheel on the driver side but my dad has the pipe bender since he bends custom exhaust. Any opinions would be very appreciated

I'd run it out the back tire... In cab resonation won't be near as high. The fumes won't get your head spacy if you're idling.

I'd go with dual 2.25" piping instead of dual 2.5"... keep your lowend power.

I think it'll look better behind the tire and keep the interior noise down... just roll the window down to hear it roar.

Whats all this about running it behind the tire?? I think Running pipe on 45 degree angles about a foot in front of the tires looks awesome!!! No offence to you others just my opinion.

Sorry, cant help you there. My truck has an in cab tank. I bet you could get away with running straps of sheet metal from both sides of the tank to an exaust hanger on the pipe. I'm a profesional jury rigger which is good but can also get me into trouble. Good luck!

Dont worry about the fumes coming in the cab with the exhaust coming out before the rear tire. My '97's stock exhaust came out there, and I never smelled fumes. I just bought the same muffler you did, 3" in/Dual 2.5" out, and Im going to run it out the side, before the rear tire like it was. It looks great like that...especially with 3.5/4" chrome 18" tips!
