I am showing low volts around 10v i guess and my battery warning light is on. It started yesterday but the volts shot up and the light went out after a couple of minutes driving, but today no dice the volts stayed low and the light never went out. My battery is only about 2 years old. Any guesses?......alternator, wiring, battery........

Well...test the battery with a real voltmeter, then test the alt with a real voltmeter. You can also have them professionally tested at an auto shop under load. Sounds like the alternator is performing at times then cutting out.
