01 6spd noise

i just bought and 01 4x4 6spd crew cab with a 8ft box its my first diesel so iam not to familiar with how they are set up but when i push in the cluctch to shift it makes a a light clunk or bang xseem s like it could be a tranny mount or you u joints it shifts kinda rough seems like theres a little play some wherethe truck has 160000 on it but i got it at a really nice price so i really cant complain i just would like to get it straightened out please help me out

mine does the same thing. its really annoying. I thought it was slop in the rear end. Anybody got any info on this problem ?

Probably the spline in the driveshaft needs lubing. It's the union right behind the carrier bearing in the middle under the little accordian boot.
