im looking to get headers on my 5.4 2005 f250. i put exhaust, superchip, intake, and now headers or supercharger is next. Would you guys even reccoment a supercharger? or should i just put on headers and call it a day?
thanks in advance
Depends on what type of supercharger you are going to use. On a truck, I would use a twin screw type like on a lightning. Check with Kenne-Bell to see if they still offer one.
The headers will help some but the supercharger will give you about 120 more HP.
Not too sure about twin-screw superchargers for the '05 250.. but Whipple may have one, as well... I'm told that at 6psi boost expect 50% gains over stock number, as well as full boost at 2000 rpm with a twin screw.
The headers will make a nice compliment to a supercharger and will add to overall performance, but, by themselves, don't offer the kind of "bang for the buck" most people look for when going for power.

In this particular case (headers vs blower) you're gonna get what you pay for.
So, here's a couple of questions for you: how much do you have to spend, and what are you trying to accomplish?
