I have a 73 with the original engine in it (302) and it currently has a 2barrel carb on it.

What would be an easy intake to slap on there with a bigger carb? I would prefer a 4 barrel.

I plan on putting a 408 stroker in there in the future, but first I have to save my penny's. So I would like to keep cost below $500.

What do you guy's think?

Well the most important thing to consider when keeping down your budget is to make sure your hood will close once the intake in on there.

I used an Edelbrock Performer four barrel, a 1/2" aluminium plate because I wanted to keep the 2bbl, and a Ford Racing 3/4" drop base air cleaner with a 2.5" filter and the hood bracing needed to be clearanced because the wing nut on the air cleaner hit.

Because you won't have that 1/2" place you should be fine with that setup and the 4bbl.

Look for a cheap manifold on ebay.
