Choke pull off question

I have a 1978 351M. I was checking my choke pull off and noticed that when I pulled vacum on it, that it bleeds off quickly. Is it supposed to do this or should it be able to stay in the pulled in postion?

Well since it is assisted by engine vacuum running constantly, I would say that's normal as it isn't a sealed unit.
