Just installed the AIS filtering system and the new "blue" CPS in about 30 minutes this morning. It seemed like it ran a little rough until the computer readjusted or did whatever it needed to do. It was around 40 this morning so I let the engine warm up to operating temp before hammering it on the highway. The engine is definately quieter, in the cab and outside. It seems considerably more responsive. I have to fill and go on a little road trip this afternoon so I can check the mileage and tomarrow I'm off to a saddle roping so we'll see how it pulls. I would strongly suggest changing out the stock filter box to everyone even if you have to make monthly payments on it. The daylight you will see through the poor housing seal will make you mad. I don't think much damage has been done to my engine as I do mostly highway driving and the air tubes were fairly clean. If your in dusty conditions do it soon or at least go with the 6637! Just my 2 cents.

Did you replace the Ford CPS becuase it was faulty or did you just decide to get the Internation BLUE CPS replacement? just curious
was it an easy install?
I took the wife on a date out to hear a band at a road house last night. She was very impressed with the way we could now visit while running down the road. Neither of us can believe how quiet it got in the cab. Only ran 30 miles so I haven't check the mileage yet. I changed out the CPS just from what I heard on this forum about how much better the blue one is. Up to 107K and no problems on the old one but I thought I should have a spare. I kept it to keep behind the seat. The install was easy just wear saftey glasses, I'm still washing junk out of my eyes. It says to be gentle pulling out the old one but I had to get fairly aggressive. I'll post the mileage once I get a few more miles on it.

I noticed the same sorts of things when I started using the International blue CPS. The truck just runs quieter and smoother using it and I gained 1.5mpg, so it more than pays for itself. I also noticed the truck just pulls better when towing as well.
