KC....maybe you will see this.I couldnt figure out how to reply to the PM.I dont have any ft speakers yet,i still have to buy some.Dont really know which ones yet or weather to go with 5.25 or 6x8.How will i be able to find the instructions you are going to post on how to remove the rear seat?
Ill try and remember what you asked me.The HU i have does have the sub control built in.It has 3 sets of pre-outs and i planned on running one set for the amp to run the ft speakers...the sub rca jack to run another amp for some sort of sub.And will use the power of the internal HU amp to run the rear speakers, that im leaving factory.

FYI, to reply to a pm, you have to hit 'quote' on the lower right. That will start the reply and add everything from the first pm into yours.

I have started to take my camera to work with me and I will be releasing a series of tech "how to" articals. I send them to FTE and they will be posting them. I can shoot you a zip file of the one I just completed for the rear seat removal. If you do not have the power rear slider there is plenty of room to mount an amplifier or two on the back wall of your truck.

You are going in the right direction with what you want to do with your truck. Amp the fronts and add a powered sub or amp with sub. It's cool that your radio is equiped with a subwoofer out. Thats pretty handy. Either 5x7 or 6x8 speakers will fit in your front doors.

As for powered subs I recommend the following. You stated you're an Ebay shopper so I won't battle with those prices. I found both of these on there.

Bazooka amplified (BTA6100) or non-amplified (BT6014) tubes

Kenwood KSC-SW1 amplified sub
