I noticed an oil leak below the intake near the turbo on the side coming from the air filter. I pulled the rubber thing off between the filter housing and where the ccv inlet is, and looking inside there are little puddles of oil in the recesses just before the turbine. I've been searching and can't find anything reffering to such. i'll keep searching and check back here, thanks.
there is a mod for it to dump it onto the ground or into your exhuast pipe. a lot of folks with 99+ trucks do it and the older ones that put an ic on there truck.
The 97 has a step down style intake pipe between the two boots. Anyone know how to plug, or where to get a replacement pipe without the hole, if I were to do the ccv mod? The SDs have a straight pipe piece.
i think most people cut that little pipe off that sticks up and then they plug the hole in the metal intske pipe with a pipe plug. i think steve bazs site may have a write up on it.
You can't get the orange pipe any more from the stealership they convert our obs trucks to a new black hose off the turbo to the plastic straight pipe instead of the cast Alum one we have. I think dale has just the black hose for sale I used it when I built my air intake for a little cleaner system. There are pics in gallery of the superduty hose I used. Good luck there are a ton of options especially if you search the superduty forum.
