if you wer to hook up the trunk release function to a solenoid on the throttle, you may be able to use it to pump the gas, but otherwise, it may well not work effectively. As far as I am aware, there are no kits for this, so you would be on your own to set that up. But as stated, the controller reads the engine tach signal to determine starting in most of the cheap controls. Put a few on myself...
the engine in my truck is not orginal and when whoever it was put it in they did not hook up the choke because i quess it didnt need it, my truck starts fine everytime but alittle stubborn when shes cold, so he raised the idle, so it would start easier when its cold, but what is it doing to my truck after it warms up? i thought about lowering my idle since its not as cold as it was, but ive heard 2 dif ways, one way was the spring loaded screw on my carb, and the other way was a little handle looking thing next to my distrbuter cap needs to be turn like 3 degrees clockwise. can some one tell me what to do before i screw up my perfectly good truck?
so your saying that my idle isnt set high to help start my truck when its cold its set high to warm up faster after its started? because my idle is high does that affect my performance or gas mileage?
