i just went to snow performance and saw there boost cooler system for the 7.3 and it is supposed to add like 70 rear wheel hp.
are these things good or will they tear up a 7.3 ??

 

They work but u have to be careful when mixing the methanol in. Too much and BOOM! 20/80 water/meth is good for towing. 50/50 for competition. Also have to set flow rate and when to start injection.

My take? The short and sweet of my take is that I do not have it on my truck. And, I've spend a lot more on other mods than what those kits cost, so it's not the expense of it that has kept me from doing it.

The main point of the water injection is to lower your EGT's. But, until you get enough fuel, there's no need for it. I'd focus on other things first - intake, exhaust, different turbo, etc... If you get to the point where you are maxing out your EGTs, then you might look into it.

I did a lot of research and was seriously looking into getting a water/meth injection system. I ultimately decided against it. There's some risk involved with it. Too much meth and you can blow an engine. Or, a solenoid could stick open and you could hydro-lock your motor (it fills with water).

That's just my opinion. Other guys have it and love it. Cookie88 has a water/meth injection, and from what I understand, he's pretty pleased with it. If I was going to look at a power adder, I'd go the route of nitrous myself. But, until you increase fuel, none of it will benefit you that much. I'll have a set of injectors and a different turbo before I even look into getting something like that.
