no steering response!

I test drove 99 7.3 liter truck today. The steering has little bit of play; meaning the tires do not respond to the steering wheel turn for about 20 to 25 degree angle turn on a straight line or stand still. What could this problem be? How much would it cost to fix this issue? The truck is lifted with semi truck tires!

Probably need everything replaced if it's been running on Bigfoot tires. Steering box to ball joints to wheel bearings.

How much would it cost for steering box? I think the hub and bearings are new...
