1993 E350 valve covers

1993 E350 valve covers

I have a 1993 E350 with a 351. The valve cover gaskets are leaking and need to be replaced. What do I have to do to get to these?? Do I have to remove the top portion of the intake??

No you do have to take it off, I have done it.
The passenger side is a little tricky getting the bolts out on top and back in.

The easiest way is to remove the upper intake, this is not a bad idea anyways as it's a common place for vacuum leaks. You can also soak it in a dip tank while you have the valve covers off so it gets cleaned up.
