I have seen the topic of installing new seats before but need some more info. My 89 Bronco's seats are in need of upgrade. I have thought about getting them re-upholstered but think I will get new ones. Finding the seats will not be a problem, getting them attached will.
My question is about attaching them to the vehicle. Some people drill new holes or use some sort of adaptors to bolt the seats in. I do not know where to look to get the info or parts to do it safely. Does anyone know where I should look? I would also like to keep the feature that allows the seats to slide forward to allow easy access.

You can simply attach the new seats to the old slide mechanism. It may involve drilling new holes in the slider for the replacement seats but otherwise I would imagine the process to be fairly straight forward. There are people out there making replacement seats for F-series/Broncos. Most should be designed to bolt to the OEM seat mountings. The seats from any F-series/Bronco of similar vintage should work without much difficulty as well.
