I need a hobby!

I have a lot of stress in my life right now, and the root cause probably won't be going away for some time.

I need a hobby - something that will allow me to occupy my mind and let me escape for a little while.

The problem is that my girlfriend and I live in a small apartment. I would love to restore a 1966 F-100 flareside, but I have no place to work on it at all. A carport doesn't exactly cut it. For money reasons, we can't move.

What can I do for a hobby? Something along the lines of a radio controlled airplane or car. Any ideas?

Invent a perpetual motion machine! That oughta keep you busy for a while.

Try Ham radio. Will take some time to study for the tests. Will meet some great people. Will be helpful for emergencies. All around good hoby.

Maybe knifemaking? You may even be able to sell some for some extra cash. It's one of those things that I wish I had time to get into, but might not sound like fun to you. RC stuff is fun, but can be expensive.

Photography can be fun. You can spend as little or as much money as you want to get started plus, it can get you out of the house as well! You can even take pictures of RC vehicles in action!

Good luck!

Funny thing is, when gas prices are high, it seems like all the greatest perpetual motion machines of all time are "invented."

You could get those 1:18 or 1:24 car models and put them together.

I think you need to figure out a way to get your girl friend out the crib so you can work on your hobby in peace. And I volunteer to do that

I didn't read where she was a problem.

He just mentioned they have a small place.

What is that all about? Like Mil1lion said, he never said she was a problem, just that they dont have enough space. So how do you get that he needs to get his girlfriend out of his hair from that?

Try fishing. If I didn't fish I'd probably be in prison. I have just as much fun even if the fish aren't biting. Take a 6 pack with you so you at least catch a buz.
