I have a 1986 ranger with codes that read 4-7.5-6 E 22 and s-390c. I was wondering what my gear ratio might be.
I think a bolt may be covering up the a digit or two on the front side of "4". 7.5 indicates this is a 7.5-inch axle. 6E22 means manufactured May 22 1986. I can't tell you the ratio without knowing the other numbers around "4" but it is most likely a 3.45. Should be code 84 on your door jamb sticker.
