crew cab fuel tank
trying to find a new or used fuel tank for my 1979 3/4 ton 2wd short bed crew. tried just about all the new tank manufacturers and searched engines with no luck. A friend that works in a salvage yard told me if i find a used one it will need to be cleaned and sealed but they can not ship them by ups/fedex anyone have any ideas?

I looked all over too for one and just ended up making my own out of some plate. I installed it behind the cab in between the frame rails. I think you might be able to see it on my web site. I do have a flat deck on the back. Scewed on a 2 inch cap for a fill spout and drilled a tiny vent hole. Then I have a filter right off the tank, the fuel filter on my 390 and another filter in my fuel supply line from eldebrocke. Haven't need to change one yet! Just keep the tank full to avoid rust!

I checked with a few FTE sponsors without success.
