how do yall think two pool ***** for each tire would work? as long as theres two they will be able to balcning the tire and each othe rout right?

how do yall think they would last compared to golf ***** and bbs?

I dont know how they would work for balancing, but they ARE designed to bounce off each other.. its an interesting idea and i cant wait to hear the responses it brings...

ok just to clear this crappy misspelling up so yall can understand

my beadlocks should be here by late this afternoon hopefully, anyway...i have 7500 copper coated bbs to use as a balancing agent for my tires, i alos have an old set of pool ***** i could try as well

how do yall think two or four pool ***** for each tire would work? as long as theres an even number they will be able to balance the tire and each other out right?

how do yall think they would last compared to golf ***** and bb's?

i dont even know what ppol ***** are made out of, but i know they are hard from tapping a few for shifter *****

btw, anyone need some 16.5x12 eagle 589 cast aluminum wheels with 8x6.5" lug pattern?

thats interesting! never really thoughyt about it. they are made of phenolic resin and are like hard plastic but i dunno how they would fare being tumbled at up to 70MPH in 44" tires, lol.

wow, how much does the bbs wheigh and the pool *****? i would think that the bbs would work better as there are more of them to spread out, for a better ballance, instead of just a couple of big weights going to where the ballance is off alot and leaving the little imbalances untouched, just a thought.

little imbalances dont bother me, its the bad shaking i can get sometimes.....

main thing im thinking of is i dont htink the pool ***** will care much about moisture

i think about 1500 of my bbs weighs 19oz, i was going to put about that much in each tire, i havent weighed the pool ***** yet

One thing to worry about is that if the pool ***** break, you could have sharp chunks of phenolic resin bouncing around in your tires. Could puncture them from the inside. I'd stick with bb's, since they will just deform.

how easily do pool ***** break, anyone ever broken one?

i owuldnt think they would see much more force inside a tire than they do on a pool table

do you think it would be possible to hear em clacking around when you come to a stop? that would be pretty neat to hear.

I thought the 1st post was better than the 2nd.

That is a good question. In Phoenix there is a place that does tire-truing (shaves out-of-round portions on the tire) and then they balance them on a large balancer for semi-tires. They do this work on the rim so it balances the entire rotating assembly together. I believe bead locks are preferred as well so the trued tire doesn't spin on rim.

Sounds good in theory but I have never ridden in a truck with severely out of round 44s.

i dont know. i dont really think it would work as well as bb's. i think the bb's would spread out the weight as well. the pool ***** are an interesting idea though! but i dont think they'd be able to balance out the tire as well because they wouldnt be able to form to all the imperfections of the tire like bb's would. just my $.02

what if you scratch?

seriously, though, I think pool ***** are way to heavy to balance a tire. they are way too heavy, and you'd need probably at least 6 to spread the balancing were it needs..

if you are bored, give it a try..? worst case scenarrio, you'd have to dismount the tire and take them out...
