Injector purchase advice

I am going to order an AD injector to replace my AE (long lead) #8 injector. I called Bean's, injector with new parts is about $217 (no core charge up front, just send back). He is going to call me back and let me know how long it will take, he thought they could get it built today or tomorrow. I also checked Xtreme Diesel Performance, they are $190 for new Alliant with a core of $150. They said they would take the AE injector for the core. I am in a bit of a hurry so I wanted to know if anyone has experience buying from either of these sources. Thanks!

I bought my set of 8 from Beans. Took a while to get them here and after I got them in, one didn't work quite right. Had a dead miss at 1200 RPM and just enough throttle to maintain speed. He sent me another one and now runs perfect.
I recommend specifying new nozzles as well.
Now that that is said: If you can afford it, get all eight. The difference it made on my truck is phenominal. It completly eliminated the pre-ignition sound that the engine was making on the freeway cruising along, no load behind me.

Thanks Dan. I'm in kind of a hurry and have been waiting on a call from Bean's about their turn around time. I might just go ahead and order the Alliant from Xtreme. Only downside is the up front core charge, but no real big deal. Think I'm just going to replace just the one right now. If I'm still having noise issues after that, I'll replace the rest.

Early 99's are AB, 99 up are AD. Some have an AE (long lead) injector in #8 to help prevent cackle. Not sure when they started, I think 02 sometime. Here is a link with info:

No matter what the engine make is for a 99a? What about certain injector in #8 or so that I thought was the odd-ball of the family?
