I am looking for the "low profile mirrors for my '72 (with the two bolts). I've found similiar "universal" mirrors, but would like as close to original as I can and have had no luck at junk yards. Also, whrere can obtain a wiring harness for this vehicle, how much, and what is the difficulty of installation? Thanks!
Check the classified section on this website as well as the 'store'. As for original harnesses, you'll have to pull one from another truck. 70-72 will work for your application.
Painless wiring makes a universal kit that you could add in if you wanted. The other option is pull one from a junk truck. but the problem with that is you usually end up with the same problem or a totally new one that the donor truck had.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Aug-02 AT 05:19 AM (EST)]Painless=Painful. All you are going to get is a universal harness and you have to splice all your own connectors on. Seems like a lot of trouble for the price they charge. I got mine from a donor and made a good one out of the two.
For the mirrors. They're is a set on ebay right now being sold in 2 different auctions. This sites store sells them for $61.00 a piece. At least than you would be supporting a good cause!
