Hey everyone, been awhile since ive posted. Been busy lately. Anyways, tried testing the fuel pressure today and with the engine not running, its a little under 40psi. Took the guage off and now the little port or nipple on the fuel rail leaks gas. Tried agitating the valve but it still leaks. Where can i get one of these things other than the dealer? Im not even sure what its called and ive never seen one in a parts store around here.
It's called a schrader valve. It's just like the valve in your tires. You can get a little tool, and after you let the pressure off, you can unscrew the valve just like the tire guys do. I do not know if the rubber in the fuel type valve is different from the tire type, but at least you could unscrew it and see if you can find a piece of dirt or something in it.
I found a tool to get the valve out of all places, on the valve stem of a two wheel dolley I bought at lowes.
