carl,i just saw this thread now. im praying for nancy and you still. may God give you both strenght to fight this and carry on in victory!!! please dont loose your faith now. (remember the "footprints"poem). bill, hotroddually, i want to thank you and heather for the support.. i send this thanks to everyone that has looked @ this thread, and everyone that has responded. i just didn't know that there were that many people that cared. i appreciate every one of your responses. you all are so much a comfort to us. we are spending every second together, and as suggested, watching sunrises, and sunsets, talking about last Christmas, our dog's loving, the nephews crappy diaper, just stuff that we shared together. i may have gone down and just felt sorry for my self had i not read the stuff you all wrote. i hope you all know that i apperciate the help you've given and that i've taken from you. carl and nancy,i think we all at fte are like a big family.when one of the family members is hurting,or in some sort of need,we all are here to help in any way we can. i will look for the foot prints poem tonight,and send it to you. as always you both are in our prayers,keep the faith,God bless you both.-billy & heather.

I am new to this forum, in fact this is my first post. I just stumbled on to this thread and felt I had to comment. Carl- it sounds as if you have the love and support that you so need. Death is inescapable for all of us- sometimes you see it coming, and begin that grieving process even before it happens, as in your case. Other times not. In fact, the reason I joined this forum is because of my brother. He died suddenly, in his sleep, last month. He was only 50. And it's his truck that I reluctantly now own. And I'm grieving for him. So, I share in your grief, knowing your loss to come. Time, and the love of others, will heal us both- God Bless

 

coach41, i mourn you loss and Bless your brothers trip to God. i don't have alot left in me emotionaly, but 50 is too young to go. i thank you for making this your 1st reply. yes i have lots of love, most of it from this place. you'll see how it is if you stick around as i hope you do.

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from anguish,
sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints,
so I said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?"
The Lord replied,
"The years when you have seen only one set of footprints,
my child, is when I carried you."
