removing the oil pan

Ok I had a leak coming from the front of the pan. So I thought all I had to do was remove all the bolts and the pan would come off. Well I have done this, beat and pryed on the pan and now, have it all out of shape and it has not budged a bit is there a trick into getting the dang thing off? thanks...Brett

Are "ALL" of the bolts out?

Also sounds like you need to get a putty knife and "carefully" tap between the pan and block to break the seal/gasket.

Or is it loose and can not get it past the pump? You will need to jack the motor up to get the pan past the pump. On my son's I had to jack it up till it was hitting the firewall. Then I finally had enough clearence to remove the pan.

Yeah, there are alot of bolts on that baby. are we talking the 5.0 motor? Dont forget the ones nearest the crank. On my 302 they were a different bolt head size completely.
