Flex plate to small?
When we put it together and the starter would not engage the flex plate (bendix is working). Bottom line the flex plate we beleive is a 157 teeth and it is just to small it will not reach the gear on the starter.
Is there any quick fixes besides replacing the flex plate? How about a different starter. The existing is 2 hole.
Also some of my rocker arms appear to be hitting the top of the valve spring (cap). Seems like the lifters are short??? Would this be because of the 69 heads?

The rockers could be 2 things. Did you put in bigger valve springs? Sometimes the rockers hit the springs in the stamped area of the rocker where the trunnion rides. If it's there you'll probably have to go to aftermarket rockers.
To check the pushrod lenght get a Sharpie and mark the tip of the valve. Turn the motor over by hand a few times. The valve should be wiped clean in the center of the tip.
