460 in eb
I have a 400 and the driveline out of a '79 (T-18/NP205) in my '69 EB. As the 400 fits..so shall the 460.8-) I had to modify a small 'patch' of the dr. side firewall to clear the head on that side by boxing it back about 1 inch. You will probably have to do some fenderwell trimming as well.

460 in a Bronco? A 460 is huge, bigger than and FE (FEs are about as wide as the 351 W) and bigger than Clevelands and 350 and 400Ms.
I would tell you will probably have to get rid of the front inner wheel housings and the headers might hit the coil spring retainers. Forger shock hoops because they probably won't work either. You'll need them too because that thing will weigh a ton and want to pull all over the road. It'll be like cornering an elephant. The clutch linkage might not work too.
Early Bronco framerails are physically closer together than the F100s 150 etc, so width is a very tight commodity in that engine bay.
You better be able to fabricate have a welder, torch and plasma cutter to do it and it will be a dog.
If you have the truck and motor I'd suggest make the front inner frame removable like on Jeeps and hoisting the motor in there and seeing what it looks like you'll have to do. Then get a set of non coated headers and put them on and see what they do.
Early broncos weight about as much as a 87-93 5.0 with 35s and a soft top, so you don't need an elephant motor. For what it will take you in time to do and all you might have to fab, and what you would pay yourself to do it, you could buy and all aluminium 351 Windsor with AFR heads on it and a NV 4500 swap and you'd actually really have something there.

Ford called several engines 'cobra jets'...428CJ in '68-69, 351C-CJ in '72 and 429CJ in '69-71..one from each engine family that I mentioned, in fact. Just no 428 'Clevelands'. ;-)
There is an EB in Wisconsin that has nothing cut with a 460 stuffed under the hood. I think the last time I seen him around though it was for sale. The other one here is an EB body on a fullsize bronco frame. running a 460- stretched and full cage and exocage. The 460 only fits under that one with no inner fenderwells. They probaly would fit but it would be close. It sits on the frame and axles of that 79 full size bronco with the EB on that. Sweet rig.
So yep it can be down with a little planning and configuring.
