It all depends on how much throttle you use, it can be anywhere from 600 to 1300, and spike up to 14/1500 for only seconds....depending..
Do you think there is a problem

Look down at the thread that says "Pyrometer use". But other words 1250 is a good safe number.

I’m no expert, but 600 degree F is well within your 6.0 specs.

The 7.3 can go to 1150~1200 for short burst with little risk to the engine based on my research before modifying my 2000. Your 6.0 probably does not know that 3,000 lb trailer is there. My 7.3 runs 600+ degrees around town with my heavy right foot . When pulling the 10k-11k trailer it usually runs in the 800 to 950 degrees range and it can go to 1100 degrees on (for short periods) pulling the long steep grades around here (NV, CA, UT, AZ). Note: EGT temperature limits and accuracy change depending on which side of the turbo they are measured (inlet or exhaust). Gale Banks engineering has a nice article about EGT here: http://www.bankspower.com/Tech_whyegt.cfm
