How do you?

Hey guys, I want to see if you guys know if and how to take out that tray like thing on the top of the dash? I know the trim around the radio just pops out, but I wasn't sure how the rest comes out?

I'm copying-n-pasting the following from other posts. I'm not sure if you just want to pull out the basic rubber tray portion ... or if you're looking to remove even more. I also don't know if it varies from one body style to another. Anyway......

-- the rubber insert just pulls out

-- Theres 2 little rubber nipples underneath it that just pop in and out.

-- There is 2 screws holding it down. You need to remove the facia around the stock CD player, and the CD player (i think) to remove the screws holding it in. Maybe you can get around them without removing the cd player.

-- I think there's a rubber boot within a plastic tray. To remove the rubber, just pull real hard and it'll come out, but you might never get it back in right. To remove the entire tray, first remove the fascia around the cd player and climate controls. Then you'll see two screws at the top holding it in, I believe they're 5.5mm, but might be 6.5

-- I take my rubber boot (insert) in and out all the time to clean it up and Armorall it. Never had a problem putting it back in. It’s directional though, only fits one way.
