un less it has been moved from where the 04 is its on the frame under the drivers seat and u need a special tool to remove it if u break the clip it will cost u a bunch cant just buy the clips u have to buy the fuel line as well. im sure if u look this has came up before try using search

the fuel filter is under a black plastic cover which is part of the fuel tank. pop the cover and the fuel filter is there. the filter is hte new 3 prong version and is only available form ford for now. runs 30.00

2005 5.4 Fuel Filter cover
Found the post telling where the filter is and have the tool (used to have a 99 and changed my own filters)
Question, best way to remove the plastic cover? it's not obvious (at least to me) and I don't want to break the clips.

I didn't realize that the '05's had the 3 prong filter.
