Frame

I have been looking exhaustingly for 3 weeks for a frame for my 63 truck. I have not been able to find a single salvage yard in my area that has anything I can use. I want to go to an I beam for the IFS etc... and have been told it can be done with little modification, but I can't seem to find one. Is anyone from the Louisville area that can give me some pointers as to salvage yards and such. I really need to get this frame fixed. Thanks in advance.

Hmmm, I would have thought after the floods down there all kinds of salvage vehicles could be found. They couldn't all have been crushed by now. IMHO

Are you going to swap the entire frame, or just transfer the IFS?
If all you want is the I-Beam setup, just get a newer truck.

just slap any old 72 or 71 or what not under it..... i did it to my 62... took me 2 weeks working alone... but you might have to shorten the frame a bit.... oh and fab front cab mounts.... but its not too bad!

I am swaping the whole thing. there is a crack bigger than the san andreas fault on both sides of the existing frame. i honestly don't see that getting repaired. i have pictures of it in my gallery.
