Wheeel Tubs/frame Support
Narrowing a nine inch requires welding expertise and a jig. Best left to others. Currie or Moser can make you the rear in just about any combo you want.
My nine in the PS Uni is 46 1/4" inches hub to hub. with US Brake hats and rotors this gives me one inch of clearance form the frame to the tire and from the tire to the quarter panel. I have 31 x 16.60 Hoosier Pro Street Radials mounted on Center line Convo Pro 15x14 rims. 5 on 5 pattern with 3 and 3/8" back space. Competition Engineering Ladder Links and drag coil overs. A center mounted pan hard bar that is parrallel at ride height keeps it all centered.
The center line of the rear is 1.5 inches above the top of the frme rail at ride height, I have a 12" kick up in the frame to accomidate the axle. The frame is additionally boxed from the front cab mount to the kick with 1/8" Mild Steel.
The entire frame process was done in my garage with snapped center lines, center line of engine and axle pinion and all the other dimensioned points to keep it square.
