Hesitation
My 1988 ford f-150 5.8L is Hesitating when i give it the gas. ive recently replaced my fuel filter, tps, i have new plug wires, alternator and battery. Im wondering if its due to timing or a sensor sometimes it will come out of it and be just fine again and then other times its doggy and hesitates when i accelerate.

The first thing I would do at this point is to take care of the EGR problem. Take it off and clean the carbon build-up out from around the pintle (little cone shaped valve-thingy) and make sure the passages aren't plugged, in the manifold as well. Apply a strong vacuum (like from a hand vacuum pump) to the vacuum fitting on the chamber and make sure the valve opens.
As long as you're cleaning stuff, clean the throttle body (even though they sometimes say not to, it really can help) and the IAC.
