Question In Bed 7 Pin Plug

I never realized there was a towing forum! Hope some one here can help.
I would like to put a 7 pin out let in the bed of my 05 SD for use with my 5th wheel.I know I can splice one in, but I was hoping someone might know of a t harness. I know they have the extension, but that will still drape over the tailgate which is what I'm trying to stay away from.
Any ideas???
Brian

I have an '05 SD lb. I picked up a 6' harness with 7 pin male on one end, 7 pin female connector on the other. Mounted the female end behind the inner fender well on the drivers side, ran the harness thru a hole in the left rear stake pocket, down the stake pocket and over to the factory trailer socket. When I'm towing my 5th wheel, I plug the extention harness into the factory socket and the trailer into the socket mounted inside the bed. When not towing, the male end of the harness rides above and behind the factory socket while wearing it's rubber "boot" (most trailer supply places have trailer wire "condums").

I've used this setup for over a year without any problems or corrosion occuring.

I did almost exactly the same thing except I mounted mine down low in the rear stake pocket and I tuck the male end inside the square tube that runs side to side on my receiver hitch when not towing my FW.

This has been gone over a couple of times, so far I don't think anyone has found a T connector of what you are looking for. Most everyone, including myself have taken the current factory harness and spliced into it in one way or another. I pulled mine out, made a box to T everything from. You might to some generic searches in google though as I haven't looked for quite some time.

Edit: Found that Valley Industries makes T connectors for ford SD trucks. part numbers: 30155 & 30165. Not quite sure on what one you need.
