check engine light
I just put in a new motorcraft tps today and now idles perfect, although a little high, but waaay better than before. But now the check engine light come on. I disconnected the iac valve connector and the idle goes way down but sputters and the engine almost wants to die. Then i played with that throttle cable screw to see if i could bring the idle down, but only makes a difference with the iac valve disconnected. Does this cable adjustment have any role on the tps, and why would the check engine light come on after replacing an obviously shot tps.
