Storm Damage

Sorry, I have not been around for a week, On Good Friday we had a major Hellacious Storm come through my neck of the woods. The storm knocked out my cable TV & Internet and it just came back on today. Family and friends are all right but property did not fair so well, Nothing Insurance cant fix! My Truck came out just fine (She’s OK) It got a little hairy and I think I pooped my pants but we are all ok! Here are a few pics.

Of course there is alot more damage but this should give you a feel.

WOW!! Lucky the tree didn't go more left towards the house. That would have left a mark.

Holy Cow!
I'm glad to hear that you and your family made it through ok, and that the truck faired well too.
Shame to lose such a nice tree though

WOW! Look on the bright side, the family and the truck are all ok

We are having the opposite here in New Mexico. We havent seen any kind of moisture for way to long! The biggest lake in the state is at 4% of its total capacity and dropping fast.

Goodl uck with getting all the debris cleared away

Looks like straight wind or wind shear did them in - at least no twisters. Must have brought back memories of the Palm Sunday storms in '65 while things were crashing down around you.

I spent 10 years in the Goshen area - and learned to look over my shoulder every time the skies darkened. Glad you're OK!

Luckly I dont remember Palm Sunday, I was not even thought of at that point Born in 76, There are two reports local police say it was a tonado, but the National weather says it was wind shears. All I know is that I was pretty nervious!

Smile Storm Damage

We had a really bad storm here in Syracuse on Labor Day weekend 1998. They said it was all straight line wind damage. We had a small party at our house. the wife had to shake me a few times, once I saw the sideways lightning, it was time to go to the basment. Power off for a few days, two killed at the fair grounds. This area is not known for that kind of weather, but mother nature sure seems to be giving it to us the last few years.
Glad on one was hurt at your place.

The thing that makes me wonder is that all off the damage is laying North, Our storms come in from the west so why is everything laying north? They said straight line winds but that would mean all would be laying east (Not North) Baffling that the people who get paid great money to survay abd watch all of the new fangled doppler radar cant fugure it out. Oh well I have had Adjusters out all week, and they are still coming out all weekend so hopefully I can start on clean up next week.
