Does anyone have any pics from different angles of their offy, EFI, and carb set up. I am trying to get mine going, but I wanted to see some pics of how other guys set theirs up so I had some idea. If you got some let me know, I would like to see them. Thanks
I have all my parts ready to go on when I do the rebuild. Just a couple more questions. What offenhauser intake are you using? Dual port or C series? That can make a difference in which way you mount the carb. Also are you going to use a 2bbl, or 390 cfm 4bbl holley, or 500 cfm edelbrock? I have a picture of my efi exhaust manifolds bolted to the walker downpipe in my gallery. Just not in the truck yet. I installed a walker downpipe on my dads 92 F150 and it worked great. Its part number 45166. Here's the two guys that I got my idea from to build my throttle bracket plate from. I made mine out of 1/4 inch steel after looking at bigbear1 gallery. I'll post pictures when I get mine all together this summer.
I am using the dual port intake witht he Holley 390 4bbl. I think I have everything I need to put it together except for possibly the throttle stuff and the plugs for the intake holes. I am using a 1 inch spacer on too.
Sounds like you are using everything that I im going to use. I also have a one inch spacer. Mine is a water heated spacer off a 1960's T-bird. If you have cold winters it might help to prevent carb icing. I got mine on ebay for $11.60. If you need one they seem to go on ebay often and go for around $20. I got a deal on mine. Good luck, post some pictures of what you decide to make.
For the plugs in the intake, im not really sure of the size. For the 12 volt source for the choke get a voltmeter and find a 12 volt ignition switch activated wire. There should be a wire going to the choke on the orginal carb. Try seeing if that has 12 volts. For some reason mine only had 7.5 volts. On my 82 F100 there is another wire that hooked up to some solenoids on the carb that has 12 volts which im probably going to use.
