351 build
hey guys i am building a 351 for my 88 f150. i got the motor for 300 bucks, i have a set of world heads for it with stud mount roller rockers for it so far. its gonna be efi. i want a good amount of low end tq, so which cam do u guys sugest i put in it? while i have the intake off i am going to port it. i also have the ford mass air conversion, and a mazda 5 speed.

this is what my combo is found a 5.8 lightning motor had it look at they bore it .20 over put edelbrock aluminum heads ford E-303 roller cam and gt-40 upper and lower intake 30 lb injectors and computer tuning.Now the cam is working verry well in the 351 take of is ok but 2nd gear pull is awesome you can feel the pull out of the cam and increase in torque some say that the mustang cam is good also if this helps.

On a more serious note...water5's combo seems to be running well with an E-cam. I feel that there is more in his combo once I get some time to datalog and tune it. I espcially like the healthy lope it has. He also installed a navigator converter in his E4OD; it's supposed to stall a couple hundred RPM's higher than stock wich helps with an auto and a cam like that.
