I have a 1967 ford f-100 longbed, new 352 FE less than 100 miles, and I have over 6,000 dollars invested in the truck, and I can't even get people to look at it when I am asking 2,000. Did these trucks just go out of style, or is it the gas price problem. I am losing my butt on this, I can not believe it, I figured I could put money in a classic truck and get most of it back out, guess i was wrong. Just wondering your guys opinion on why this truck is worth nothing monetary wise.
are you pitching it to the right crowd??? If it is a solid truck you ought to be able to get at least 3500. Auto trader, Ebay, etc will get you people that are actually looking for your vehicle. The guy from Barrys speed shop had a car last night that didn't bring the bids he thought it should...........course he was at some podunk auction in what appeared to be a cattle barn. Point is.....you need to see where the people that are looking for trucks like yours....and advertise there
I agree with fitz - at least $3,500. Ufortunately, it is unusual for our year turcks to command a lot more than that unless they are VERY nice. You might give craig's list a try. I took a look at KC and noted there are very few old pickups and zero Fords. Good luck.

Do you have an ad for it here? I looked in the classifieds and did not see one. I would like to see some better pictures of it. What tranny is in it? The trick with these trucks is you have to find someone who likes them as well as we do.

I can feel yo pain bro, but all I have to do is think about 18 years of payments on one of those $50,000.00 pickups and I get chilly real fast.
Its got a 3 speed manual on the floor, i think that is what people are turning away from they want an automatic or a four speed probably
I don't think it's that so much because if someone is into these old rigs, it really doesn't matter what tranny it has in it because it can always be changed. That's the big difference between old vehicles and these new throw-away POS's that are running around today. I think you're just not advertising it in the right places. Check out the possibility of running an ad around southern CA. Everything is so overpriced there that people don't have any real idea of value anymore and just pay whatever it asks. Since summer is coming on, now's the time because transport isn't an issue like it is in winter.
...and yes, your pictures are too small.
edit: If you do advertise it in CA, ask more than 2K for it. No offense to anyone living there (I used to...), but there are a lot of folks there with more dollars than sense...
Not to throw a damper on anything, but what you have invested does not have much bearing on what you can get for it. Restoring old trucks is not a money making proposition, just a way to get a vehicle that YOU like. Good luck with the sale, hopefully you can find the right buyer.
Look @ my pics, I sold the 68 for $5,000 It had a new engine, int, bed liner, paint... very nice condition. Just have to find the right buyer, parking along busy street worked for me.
Karl, Your truck had what most lack, decent paint and a new running gear.
I have a heck of truck under the chassis, and my truck looks good a 50 feet, but like me wont stand up to close inspection.
If you were close by I would buy your truck original67, a 67 with a V8 three speed is great. Hang in there and you will get your price I`m sure, just take`s the right buyer to come along.
