I Have A '05 F250 6.0 With A Predator (65 Hp), 4" Turbo Back Exhuast, And A K&n Intake. Ever Since I Can Remember My Turbo Has Made A Rattle/spinning Noise After I Turn The Truck Off. I Know That The Turbo Is Going To Keep Spinning After Shut Off But I Wouldn't Think To Be Able To Hear It As Well. I Also Experience Alittle Interval Of White Smoke When I Cold Crank It. It Doesn't Smoke Right When I Crank It But Alittle Bit After It Starts Warming Up. Other Than That Its Just Black Smoke Coming Out The Pipe. I Was Told By Someone That White Smoke Will Appear At Crank Up When The Turbo Seals Have Went Bad And Oil Is Leaking Into The Turbo. I Just Thought I Would Ask You Guys Before I Brought It To Ford Attention When I Bring It In For The Recall.
My 06' PSD is all stock turned 5k yesterday,,when I shut it down,, I can hear, what I believe is the turbo spooling down, may take 5 seconds, maybe more,,never really timed it , cant say I have really heard a rattle though.
Ford may frown on your Predator and K&N setup, you have on the truck,, I have a buddy that used a K & N filter on his Dodge cummins and he found a residue (dirt) on the turbo vanes, among other stuff, cleaned it,,went back to stock,,no residue, you might want to check it out. Later,,,,,Mark
I would be interested as to what the white smoke is myself. I too have noticed my turbo making more noise when I shut it off and the white smoke during warmup. When it's finally up to normal operating temp, there is no smoke at all.
I had the truck in for the recall and this problem but was denied service because of an MBRP turbo back exhaust with cat still intact and an EGT gague. They said if I put back in the stock exhaust and take out the gague, they will service it. It was brought to this dealer because the place I purchased it from closed down.
I do not seem to be making/losing oil and my mileage is the same or a little better now that the winter blend is gone. I am due for an oil change soon so I will send in a sample.

You did not say if you still have the cat and muffler? Did you notice this prior to the 4" exhaust? I still have the factory exh, w/o the cat and muffler (they fell off) and when I shut it off I can hear the whistle slowly fade away after about 5 seconds or so.
Oh yeah, I have a little white smoke on start-up. I think this is due to the fact that there is nothing there to "catch" it on the way out now.
