i pick up a 31 splined Traction lock for my 93 ford 4x4 extended cab for the 8.8 in the rear for a great price off ebay. Its in great shape low mile, but as i inspected it i notice it has no pick up ring for the ABS speed sensor. Can i just buy the ring?? are all traction locks set up for the ring?? Or does it go back on ebay?? need a little help.

Why can't you reuse your old one?

If I remember right, some carriers are drilled for the ABS ring and some are not. The ones that are not are in the minority, as they were only made for a couple years prior to 1987 when ABS became standard.

If you do have the wrong carrier, I know where you can sell it and get your money back.

I think those tone rings are pressed on and off the differentials. Try poking around online and see if you can find any pictures that you can compare yours to.
