Hey guys, have a 2000 GMC Yukon. Tried to plug my handy Equus Innova 3100 Scanner in the plug and got the ErPr (no power maybe?) The manual says to check the fuses as there is no power to the scanner. I checked the fuses, replaced batteries in the scanner and no luck. I would like to get my Yukon checked and fixed. I did make sure the plug was right and no pins are bent on the cable. I have a Chilton wiring diagram but it is not too much help for me to check the plug. I would hate to take this to the Stealership and have them bend me over.
Thanks in advance
Aaron

it is a 2000 Yukon, 5.3, 2WD.

I think the first problem is that it's a chevy. So the way to fix this one is to transplant a ford engine, perhaps the 5.4. Once you get the new engine in it should be smooth sailing
As for the wiring, I think autozone has a wiring diagrams online that have got to be at least as good as chiltons. Try the scanner on a buddies truck to see if it's the scanner and not the truck.

I know, it's a Chevy. Found the culprit off of the GM-Trucks forum, one of five kids put two cig lighters in the power ports and pushed them both, thus popping the cig lighter fuse, thus cutting power to the port for the scanner.
Thanks for the advise.

Sounds like another engineering blunder by GM!! Instead of wired in parallel off the same fuse, the power ports should have been fused separately, and there wouldn't have been a problem!! Sell that thing, and buy a Ford!!!!
