Second tailgate window switch
How hard would it be to install a second tailgate window switch in the rear(inside) of the Bronco. When traveling, I sleep in the back of my 93 (with the rear seat removed) and it would be nice to be able to open or close the window without having to climb over seats and consoles.

Shouldn't be hard at all. Check my gallery for a wiring diagram for the rear tailgate. The wiring harness runs through the drivers side fender from the tailgate. That would be the easiest side to mount it. Just get a DPDT 3 postion switch. then wire it like the key switch on the back.

You can actually pull the harness out of the fender about 10 inches from where it goes in. Gives alot of room for wiring and feeding the wires to the switch.
I never thought about a switch back there...nice idea.

I use to sleep in my 88 (with the seat removed). I made a platform to cover the rearseat footwell 3/4 the way across. It was hinged, so I could store stuff under it. The nice thing about it was I would sleep with my head to the front because it was all flat to the drivers seat. (I also made a flat cover for the center seat mount) Than I could reach out of my sleeping bag to start the truck, lower the window, turn music on or whatever. It was nice, but the seat was not easy to put back in. I just got rid of it. Now I got a 90 bronc and I havent done it to it yet because I need the backseat. (other car is a Vette)
